Rights Management
Overview
The Rights Management is based on a hierarchical role concept. Each waveware user must be assigned to at least one role. Various table rights and global rights are allocated in this role.
A lot of roles can be assigned to a user. Many further roles can subordinate a single role. So establish a neat role structure for different scenarios.
If a user has assigned several roles, the current rights of these roles are additively linked to each other.
The user has two roles, „Role1“ and „Role2“. The role 1 has the right „LHDashboard: Display“, the role 2: „LHNavigator: Allow“. Both roles are available for the user: „LHDashboard: Display“ and „LHNavigator: Allow“.
If the roles are interleaved, the rights of these roles are also linked to each other additively. The user rights result from the sum of the rights of all the users directly or from indirectly assigned roles.
Process User Rights
Through the waveware ribbon, you can access the area „Extras“, in which a grouping „Security“ is arranged. Here, you find the button „Rights Management“. If you click on this, the Rights Management dialog window appears, where you can manage user properties and roles:
